The federal fisheries and oceans minister was in Nanaimo on Earth Day, talking about a turning tide in a changing climate.
According to a report from Nanaimo News Greg Sakaki the minister said Earth Day should give people pause to reflect on some “critical” environmental challenges that Canada and the world face, including climate change, biodiversity loss and oceans plastics.
The OceanEXP Team is petitioning that every day should be an Earth Day and reflecting on “critical” environmental issues should not be restricted to a single point in the year.
